Defy Jumping Ship In Love
The truth is simple, it's when we lie is when everything gets complicated; love is not an infatuation, not a blind path of destruction but the ability to see the flaws of another and to recognize and accept them rather than to justify them. That is why relationships are lonely, marriages fail, children are abandoned and friendships end. No one warns you about the amount of mourning you will grieve in the process of your own growth and the journey we take others down because of our selfish need to be wanted and loved by everything else but ourselves. It's a taboo subject not comfortable enough nor deserving enough for most to speak of. You may believe you love someone until you see the way they act with no money, under pressure, hungry and tired or honest in exactly how they feel. Love is something different. Love is choosing to serve someone without the shame of submitting yourself to them and be with them in spite of their filthy heart. Love is patience and kind; love is deliberate. Love is hard because it's always easier to hate. Love is pain and sacrifice and a journey to testify your strengths and your weaknesses. It's seeing the darkness in another soul and not confusing your own reflection in it and being brave enough to defy the impulse to jump ship because of it.
